CurlyCorn LLC built Bao to need as little of your personal information as possible. This policy explains what is and isn't collected.
The short version
Bao works without an account. Your check-ins, notes, breathing history, and progress are stored on your device, not on our servers. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
What the app collects
The rescue core works with no sign-up. Content you create in the app — such as check-ins, mood and energy notes, and your session history — is kept locally on your device. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it. We do not receive it.
Purchases and subscriptions
If you subscribe to Pro, the purchase is processed by the app store (Apple App Store or Google Play) and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). They handle payment details; we never see your card information. We may receive your subscription status (for example, whether Pro is active) so the app can unlock the right features.
The website
This marketing website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how the site is used in aggregate (for example, which pages are visited and the approximate region). Plausible does not use cookies, does not store or track any personal information, and does not follow you across other websites. The data is fully anonymous and cannot be used to identify you. We host our own Plausible instance, so this measurement data is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers. The website does not require an account or use advertising trackers.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell or rent your personal information.
- We don’t use your in-app content for advertising.
- We don’t require an account to use the rescue core.
Children
Bao is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
Because your in-app data lives on your device, you stay in control of it: you can clear it in the app or remove it entirely by deleting the app. For any privacy question or request, contact us using the details below.
